Experts from the National Weather Service, South Carolina Emergency Management Division and Dorchester County Emergency Management will be on hand to share guidance on how to prepare for storms and respond effectively during emergencies.
Attendees can meet local first responders and explore a “Touch-a-Truck” display featuring emergency and safety vehicles. Representatives from other local services, such as mosquito abatement, law enforcement and animal control, will also be available to answer questions.
The expo isn’t just about safety — it’s also designed for fun. Families can enjoy train rides, inflatables, face painting, balloon art and various food vendors.
All ages are welcome to attend. The event itself is free, though Ashley River Park’s standard admission fee of $2 per person over the age 3 applies.
